What May 2012 Looked Like, And The Promise Of Summer

Yes, we broke records for Cold and Wet in May of 2012.  And we even had snow.  (Although it looks like my friend Kimberly at Camp and Cottage Living has a lot more to complain about than I do!)

However, despite pouring down rain on June 1st, today dawned cloudy, but soon cleared up and was beautiful!

Our lawn service (a luxury we give ourselves because we kept killing our mowers and weed whackers, and we all suffer from hay fever) was finally able to mow and weed whack the lawn.

I weeded the perennial bed, planted my moose planters, hosed off the lawn furniture and built a fire in the fire pit which I enjoyed with a glass of iced tea in the glider.

Charles built an outdoor shrine for our Mary Garden, which he will put up as soon as the icon of Mary is finished.

At last!  It is beginning to look like summer, and although the forecast calls for rain, it will diminish over the next few days.  My outlook is SUNNY!

  5. Yay for your sunny out look and for the sun. It was kind of chilly here the past two mornings but over 90 now.
